owner and simply lost or misplaced the title, the DMV offers same day title replacement for only

available) is here. For
additional information, please refer to the Arizona MVD web site: Arizona Motor Vehicle Division
Where do I sign the Arizona title before donating my car?
As the donor, you must sign on the back of the title and have your signature notarized. Give
the title to the new owner. Complete a Sold Notice online, or on the back of the Vehicle
Registration and mail it to the address indicated. You can go here for additional information
on Arizona Title Processing.
What do I do with my license plates when I donate my car in AZ?
The license plate belongs to you, the vehicle owner, instead of the vehicle. When a vehicle is sold or transferred, be sure to remove the plates. Then within 30 days you must then do one of the following:
- Transfer the plate credit to another vehicle you own
- Return the plates to the MVD and request a refund.
Upon sale or transfer of a vehicle, the registration for that vehicle is no longer valid. You must visit any MVD office or Authorized Third Party Provider to transfer the plate and register the vehicle.
