Idaho Title Processing Information
I've got the title in front of me now where do I sign?:
You sign on line 4, section A which is in the middle of the front side of the title page, off to the left.
You can release liability of your vehicle by completing the Notice of Release of Liability form, at which time you will encounter a $2 fee. This form when properly filled protects you from liability for death or injury, property damage, motor vehicle infractions, towing, storage, repair or service charges involving the vehicle/vessel that may occur after delivery.
I'm the registered owner but I can't find my title:
You can always try to find it, but in the case of loss you can apply for a duplicate title application, which can be found here. It is good to keep in mind that the form must be notarized and only the owner or lienholder of record or their agent may apply for a duplicate title.
If you don't want the hassle of going through the duplicate title process we can take care of it for you providing that you fill out the following forms and hold them until the tow agent comes to get them along with your vehicle.
A signed duplicate title application from the owner, notarized with notary stamp or seal.
A Power of Attorney signed by all owners listed on the title (used to sign the duplicate title when it is received from the DMV).
Lien Release (if applicable).
The owner of the vehicle is deceased:

notarized probate papers from the court/Letters of Administration, and a properly signed title by the executor of
the estate/named representative.
The vehicle was abandoned on my property:
